Participant Obligations

All participants signing on or being insured or attending the event are obligated to follow this code.

A participant, whether pre-event/race, during an event/race or post an event/race, must refrain from: -

1. Continual breaches of the Laws of the Sport or the QSMSports regulations or the law of society.;
2. Swearing, using foul, abusive or derogatory language which includes comments or actions;
3. Verbal abuse including bad language, comments or words that threatens or denigrates a participant, official or spectator on the basis of his/her religion, sexual orientation, disability, race, colour, national or ethnic origin;
4. Talking back to or arguing with an Official/Commissaire or Volunteer;
5. Dissent or disapproval towards an official following a decision by the Official or Crew Member;
6. Intentional physical contact not permitted with a participant, official, spectator or QSMSports representative;
7. Any action deemed, in the ultimate discretion of the referee, official or competition manager, to bring the event/race into disrepute.

All participants who enter in the QSMSports event do so conditional that their conduct remains acceptable. Supporters, spectators breaching the code of conduct may cause a participant to be penalised or considered for further disciplinary actions. QSMSports maintains a policy that any conduct which incites unacceptable behaviour will not be tolerated.
